RACE DAY & COURSE

Schedule:

6:30am -7:15am: Bib Pickup
7:30am: Race Starts
9:30am: Racers not yet at Aid Station #3 will be offered a ride back to the start and will receive a DNF
10:00am: Awards ceremony

Course Description: The course remains unchanged from 2024, suffering the route of the Nature Preserve Border Trail. There have been many alterations since our first runners braved the loop, but new singletrack, climbs & switchbacks are ready to make a meal of your quads. Inspecting the Border Trail for some pre-race training is definitely a good survival plan. Get out there and feed the Beast before he comes hungry for YOU on raceday!

Volunteers setting up an aid station.

Aid Stations:
There will be 3 Aid Stations along the course located approximately 2-3 miles apart. Water will be served at all Aid Stations. Lemon-lime flavored Gatorade sports drink will be served at AS 1 & 3, as well as fresh watermelon at AS 2.

Suggested training:

  • Hills! Lots and lots of hills.
  • Squats.
  • Lunges.
  • More hills.
  • Running with a hydration pack, belt or handheld.
  • And … how about some hill repeats for good measure.

Quadzilla 15K Course starts in the Zoo parking area and quickly climbs onto the Border Trail for it’s entirety, returning to the parking area for the finish.
