WHAT IS QUADZILLA?
Quadzilla is pure guts. It will test your limits.
This is a trail race: there are hills, rocks, roots, and water. You think you’ve run hills … until Quadzilla. This course is a BEAST! It will take you to the middle of nowhere and back. It will test your spirit, try your patience, and keep throwing a curve ball at you again and again.
Quadzilla is relentless. And just when you think it’s over, there’s more.
When you run Quadzilla you join an exclusive group of runners who have pushed their limits and tamed the beast. Quadzilla will beat you up. You’ll get three aid stations along the way and a sweeper who keeps on pace for the three hour cut-off. If you stay ahead of the pacer you’ll be fine. If you fall behind you’ll get a DNF. No exceptions.
These are the rules. Love ‘em or leave ‘em.
Along the way you will be treated to fresh-cut watermelon at aid stations 2 & 3. Watermelon contains 92% water and is a highly portable taste of goodness in a hot, July race. The post-race food spread resembles that which you would find at an ultra, it’s definitely not your run-of-the-mill-5k-bananas-and-bagels type of spread.
